From launching a cookery show MasterChef daily to bringing epic saga Mahabharat in the saas-bahu time slot, Star Plus one of the leading GEC's (General Entertainment Channel) has been recently experimenting a lot with its programming line-up.

And the latest we hear is that the channel is planning to revive its afternoon time slot.

This is not the first time that Star Plus is offering new shows to its viewers in the afternoon slot. Earlier shows like Tere Mere Sapne and Hamari Devrani entertained viewers in the afternoon time slot.

Sources inform that some of the leading production houses like Hats off Productions and Optimystix' Productions are making new shows for the channel's afternoon slot. Both the shows are said to be family drama and the respective production houses are currently busy with the shows.

When contacted, Producer JD Majethia of Hats Off and Vipul D Shah of Optimystix remained unavailable for comment.
