The people of Nagpur were in for a pleasant surprise as the famous telly stars - Swapnil Joshi and Ami Trivedi from SAB TV's popular serial 'Papad Pol - Shahbuddin Rathod ki Rangeen Duniya' visited the city of oranges on Wednesday. This is the first time ever that SAB TV - India's leading comedy entertainment channel decided to bring their stars to Nagpur.

'Papad Pol - Shahbuddin Rathod Ki Rangeen Duniya' is a show based on an imaginary world created by the renowned writer, Shahbuddin Rathod. The show is all about celebrating life with interesting characters like Vinaychand and Kokila. Based in the midst of the adversities and challenges of the modern day life in a bustling city like Ahmedabad, the residents of this Pol (Mohalla) find a reason to celebrate life in all its big and small moments. The characteristics of the show delve on common daily life situations which creates a connect with the common man's life as well. The families in the 'Pol' stay together like one big extended family.

Commenting on their visit to Nagpur, Mr. Anooj Kapoor, Executive Vice President & Business Head SAB said, "Since the time we launched the show, we have got an amazing response from the viewers. They loved Kokila and Vinaychand! The show had got a tremendous opening and is still doing extremely well even after completing 125 episodes! We have been getting constant requests from the fans to get Ami and Swapnil to Nagpur to meet them. Hence, we decided to visit Nagpur and fulfill their wish."

Swapnil Joshi aka Vinaychand Parikh said, "I am very happy to be in Nagpur today. It feels good to be among the people who love you so much. I thank my fans who have made the character of Vinaychand so popular."

Adds, Ami Trivedi aka Kokila, "I am glad that people accepted and loved me as Kokila. In fact, these days everyone calls me Kokila and not Ami! It feels really good!"

The show started with the entire community of the Pol coming together to search for a perfect bride for their beloved Vinaychand and later witnessed the grand wedding of Vinaychand and Kokila.
