New reality show will see individuals, duos and groups compete against each other
A new dance reality show, judged by Riteish Deshmukh, Geeta Kapur and Ashley Lobo and hosted by Aishwarya Sakhuja and Mohit Malhotra, airs tonight.
Called India's Dancing SuperStar, it embraces all dance styles (hip-hop, freestyle, bhangra, salsa, etc) and all kinds of participants (individuals, duos and groups of all ages). A 16-city audition (more than 70,000 aspirants showed up!) later, the 'celebration of dance' finally begins.
Riteish, who makes his TV debut as a judge with the show, says, "I have thoroughly enjoyed all the acts I saw at the auditions and cannot wait to see them perform in later rounds."
Co-judge and choreographer Geeta Kapur adds, "While I've been a part of dance shows before, I can promise you that this show has taken the level of dancing and entertainment several notches higher. I feel there are a few acts who will become a rage right after their audition performance is shown on-air."
India's Dancing SuperStar premieres tonight and airs Saturdays and Sundays at 9 pm
