Shakespeare's Hamlet stirred the imagination of three Bollywood filmmakers Onir, Vishal Bharadwaj and Tigmanshu Dhulia.

While Onir was the first to announce his version, titled Veda, Tigmanshu, who had said he'd make his Hamlet with Hrithik Roshan, now seems to have had a change of heart.

Tigmanshu says, "I may not make Hamlet because my writers and I feel it doesn't lend itself very well to cinema."

Vishal, on the other hand, is looking for a studio to back his adaptation. So, after the initial hullabaloo of so many desi versions of the Shakespearean tragedy being made simultaneously, the only one that is currently on course seems to be Onir's Veda.
