Katrina Kaif will be the showstopper at a special show dedicated to Barbie Doll at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai.

India’s premier fashion event, LFW, kick-starts today with a show to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Barbie Doll.

Titled ‘Barbie – All Doll’d Up’, the show in the afternoon will have several Indian designers showcasing Barbie-inspired outfits. It’s a competition segment where Katrina Kaif will walk the ramp as the showstopper wearing the Barbie dress of the winning designer.

Some of the designers participating in the show are Vikram Phadnis , Wendell Rodericks , Neeta Lulla, Shantanu and Nikhil, apart from others.

Katrina who’s excited about dolling herself up as Barbie says she, like other girls, has played with Barbie in her childhood and is now delighted to walk the ramp dressed up as one.

Meanwhile, negotiations are said to be underway to have a new series of Barbie Dolls inspired from actress Aishwarya Rai .

Looks like Indian beauties are going places.
