Aamir Khan turns 44
Sat, Mar 14, 2009
Aamir Khan , the most powerful man in the film industry – according to a Filmfare poll – and doubtlessly the heartthrob of millions of his fans, turns 44 on Saturday.
He may not blow his own bugle or proclaim self to be the numero uno superstar of the industry, but Aamir lets his work speak louder than words. A versatile actor, a producer with an impeccable record of three hit films, and a conscientious director with a vision, Aamir is a powerhouse of skills and talent.
As he turns 44 today, Aamir thinks age is just a number and what matters is “how young or old one feels from within”. True to his nature, the superstar is not in the numbers game. He’s not carried away by the Filmfare poll in which he emerged as the most powerful person in the Hindi film industry presently. He says it doesn’t matter how powerful he is but how he uses that power to give back to the society.
About his verbal bouts with “friend” and peer Shahrukh Khan , Aamir says he only wishes the best for SRK.
Aamir is presently busy with three films – Raju Hirani’s 3 Idiots , his home production Dhobi Ghaat (being directed by wife Kiran Rao ) and Delhi Belly starring Imran Khan in the lead. Aamir is also doing a film on farmer’s plight to be directed by Anusha Rizvi.
Meanwhile, on his birthday, the producers of Ghajini are launching the statuettes of Aamir with eight-pack abs. There would be a limited edition of only 2000 pieces up for grabs for anyone who wants the detailed replica of Aamir’s character in the monster hit movie.
Here’s wishing Aamir Khan a very happy birthday.
