Ranbir Kapoor doesn’t mind rubbing his shoulders with aam log while traveling from one city to another. Just day before yesterday, the handsome lad hopped on a flight from Bangalore to Mumbai and traveled economy class.

It happened that Ranbir, Konkona Sen Sharma and director Ayaan Mukherjee were promoting their film Wake Up Sid in Bangalore and after the event decided to return to Mumbai to catch the trial show of the movie at Yashraj Studios.

But due to the pilot strike (which was called off on Wednesday) there were few flights and no available seats in business and first class. Since Ranbir is always particular about gauging the response of friends and family after the trial show, he did not want to miss the screening and bought the economy class ticket.

Ranbir says he normally travels economy class. He has even with traveling in the same common class whenever he goes to Bhopal to shoot Prakash Jha’s film Rajneeti.

“I travel all the time by economy. I don't have any qualms about it,” Ranbir is quoted as saying by a tabloid.

Hope that other stars too would wake up to Ranbir’s austerity drive.
