Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 2’ gets delayed
Wait for Dabangg 2 gets a bit longer. The sequel to Salman Khan’s 2010 blockbuster film Dabangg will not go on floors this year. Producer-turned-director Arbaaz Khan wants to take it slow.
So all those who want to see Dabangg 2 will have to wait for another year! Arbaaz Khan, who will don the director’s cap for the sequel, is taking extra time to prepare for the film. The movie is still in nascent stage and is expected to start by March 2012.
“I need time. The project is at the ideating stage. We need to crack an idea for the sequel and then carry the project forward from there. I don't want to take any chances,” Arbaaz tells a tabloid.
As director Abhinav Kashyap, who directed the original, has walked out from the sequel, the onus of directing the film is now on Arbaaz. Obviously making a sequel to a blockbuster hit is not a cakewalk. So, Arbaaz is taking his time to get the script right.
Dabanng 2 will not have a rural setting; instead it’s shifting to the urban jungle. Munni fame Malaika Arora will once again sizzle to an upbeat Bollywood track for which Arbaaz has reportedly asked five music directors to compose, and of the five only one song, the best of the lot, will be included in the film
