‘Badmaash Company’ doing well at box office
Badmaash Company is off to a good start at box office. The movie is expected to be a hit, and has even given actor Shahid Kapoor a reason to smile because of its good opening. Directed by debutant Parmeet Sethi, the film about a conman and his friends is gaining popularity among the cine-viewers but the process is slow.
The movie’s first day business was of Rs 3.50 crore, and it did fairly well on Saturday and Sunday by collecting Rs 13.50 crore. Now the movie’s four-day total is of Rs 15.75 crore approx; a good week is expected further.
On the other hand, Gurinder Chaddha’s film It’s a Wonderful Afterlife couldn’t woo the audience in spite of its family subject. The movie’s first day business was very poor as it collected just Rs 20 lakhs approx, and the English version is doing better than the Hindi version ‘Hai Marjawaan’. Overall, a weak performance.
Coming to Housefull, the movie has emerged as a box office sensation. It had huge first week of around Rs 47 crore and its ten day total is of Rs 56.50 crore. With these figures, the movie is on its way to become the biggest hit of the year 2010.
