The ‘Agnipath’ duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Mithun Chakraborty will team up for director Vivek Sharma’s next film, if things go as planned.

The two stalwarts of Hindi film industry haven’t worked with each other save for the hard-hitting and memorable ‘Agnipath’ by director Mukul Anand.

Now, filmmaker Vivek Sharma who has earlier directed Bachchan in Bhoothnath , is in the process of finalising the starcast for his next project 'Buddham Sharanam Gachchami' and hopes to cast the two senior actors together.

“I will complete shooting the film in 61 days. I require five to six principal characters who are powerful performers,” Vivek is quoted by a news agency.

“Bachchan and Mithunda have verbally agreed to do the film,” added Vivek.

He said Mithun even gave him creative suggestions. Vivek also met Shahrukh Khan and narrated the story to him.

“Shah Rukh liked the story. But, he has his apprehensions on doing an action scene on grounds of his health since he has recently undergone a shoulder surgery. I am keeping my fingers crossed,” the director said.

Vivek hopes to start pre-production in September-October.
