IPL 2011: Michael Bevan to coach Kings XI Punjab
Former ace Australian batsman Michael Bevan has been appointed as the coach for Kings XI Punjab for the fourth edition of Indian Premier League.
Bevan had an impeccable ODI record in 232 matches and had average nearing 54. He was considered among all time best ODI finishers during his prime. He had famously bailed out Australia from trouble on numerous occasions during the ‘90s and was a major factor in Australian dominance during that decade.
Bevan is reported to be looking forward to his role as the new coach of Kings XI Punjab. He is impressed with this format of cricket and is excited about joining the IPL. He is focused on his first task of having right set of players in the auction of players which will be held in some weeks from now in Bangalore.
Even the management seems to be ecstatic about his role as the new coach. The management hopes to make most of his vast experience and skills in the game of cricket.
