Boogie Woogie, India’s original dance show is back. Over the years, the show has provided an ideal platform for contestants to showcase their dancing talent. Going into its 14th year, the energy of show continues to enthral audiences throughout the world. Boogie Woogie has been highly successful in its effort to showcase young talent. Most of the participants on the show have become professional choreographers, actors, models and performers.
Javed Jaaferi with his wit lends a refreshing touch to the show hosted by the sensational duo of Ravi Behl and Naved Jaaferi. What makes Boogie Woogie special is that here the focus is on dance in its entirety. Participants are encouraged to try different forms of dancing. Chote Ustaad: A competition between the dancers under the age of 10.
GANG WAR/ Group Challenge: A competition between groups selected from all over .
Kids Championship: A competition between dancers under the age of 15.
Mummy’s Championship: A rare chance for mothers to showcase their talent.
Man & Woman/ Mahayudh: A competition for all above the age of 15.
Duet/ Double Dhamaka: A competition between groups of 2. The groups consist of couples, sisters, brothers & friends.
15 & U Group Dance: A group competition for kids under the age of 15.
Ustaadon Ka Ustaad: Winners from each category compete for the ultimate prize, the Utstaadon ke Ustaad trophy.
Every championship has the following rounds:
Elimination Round: Depending upon the number of the participants, there can be 2 to 8 elimination rounds.
Partner Round: A round wherein the participants dance with their favourite partner who can be their friend, sibling or a neighbour, etc.
Prop Round: A round where using a prop is compulsory. Also the reason for using the prop has to be mentioned.
Celebrity Round: A round where participants get a chance to dance with famous celebrities from the world of films and Television.
Family Round: A round where the participants dance with their family members.
Theme Round: A round of group dance where every performance has to have a concrete theme.
Semi Final: A round where participants pay a tribute to their favourite stars by trying to emulate them.
Grand Finale: D day, the day when the winner is announced.
