Television actor Satyajit Sharma meets Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin and the result is a play, “Colour Blind” based on the life of Guru Rabindranath Tagore and his relationship with Argentine poetess Victoria Ocampo which has been a matter of discussion for decades now.
Directed and written by Manav Kaul, Amit Sadh’s mama of “Kai Po Che”, the play will see its inaugural launch on 23rd September 2013 in Kolkata after which there will be shows in cities like Kharagpur, Chakradharpur, Shantiniketan before finally staging at Mumbai.
Satyajit Sharma who is currently seen as Basant Singh, Jagdeesh’s tau sa in the ‘Colors’ show “Balika Vadhu” essays the role of Tagore while Kalki plays the role of Victoria Ocampo. The play details the in-depth study of their relationship and the two months which they spent together on the outskirts of Buenos Aires in 1924. The unique feature of this play is the minimal use of Tagore music unlike the other plays based on Rabindranath Tagore’s works.
