Having made his debut with Arjun Kapoor starrer movie, “Ishaqzaade”, actor Akash Bathija will now be seen in Swastik Productions show, “Amita Ka Amit”, on the small screen. The Bollywood movie had Akash essaying the role of Arjun Kapoor’s best buddy and the TV show too has him playing best friend to the main protagonist, Amit.
Akash’s character, Batuk, in “Amita Ka Amit” is that of a happy go lucky person, always ready to help out his friend. His character is instrumental in uniting the lead pair, Amit and Amita. But Akash bagging the show has an interesting background to it.
After auditioning for the show, Akash went off to visit Tirupati temple, where he shaved off his hair. As soon as he came back, he got a call from the production house, informing him about his selection for the role of Batuk. Having just shaved off his hair, he informed the production house of his dilemma.
Fortunately for Akash, they were kind enough to wait for his hair to grow back and then start shooting with him.
