A small idea, originating from the mind of two people, has catapulted into becoming a reality. It so happened that on the sets of the daily show, “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon”, actress Utkarsha Naik and actor Akshay Dogra, shared an discussion about coming up with a play. Being a casual discussion it was soon forgotten due to their busy schedules.
But months after the show ended, Utkarsha and Akshay, once again remembered talking about it and thought of giving the idea a try. Since they had already discussed the concept for the play, they started putting efforts in developing the same. Soon they were ready with a full-fledged idea about a play and the process of casting for the actors started. They did not have to search far as the co-actors, Deepali Pansare and Pyumori Mehta, from their show, “IPKKD” agreed to be a part of the play.
Lead actor Barun Sobti, agreed to lend his support for the show, by acting as a narrator. The show titled, “Ek Phool Chaar Maali” a comedy, will be directed by Manoj Verma, Utkarsha’s husband. The play will be first premiered at Dubai in the month of March 2013, before coming to Mumbai.
