After churning out some of the path breaking shows like, “Geet Hui Sabse Parayi”, “Dharampatni”, “Sabki Laadli Bebo” and “Miley Jab Hum Tum”, Endemol India was ready to come out with its new show, “Devki”, for ‘Life OK’.
But as per the latest news, the show, for reasons unknown, has been scrapped by the production house. This, after signing some of the popular actors of the small screen like, Mrunal Jain, Diyanka Tripathi and Gopi Desai, to essay the pivotal characters. The plot of the show was said to be loosely inspired by the hit Bollywood movie, “Bhool Bhulaiya”. Since there were shows of somewhat similar plots running on the channel, the production house felt that the new show does not hold any new charm for the viewers.
Hence instead of taking so much effort to produce the show, Endemol India, felt that the best way out was to drop the idea of making it. As of now production of “Devki” stands cancelled.
