Chitrashi Rawat to replace Kavita Kaushik in ‘FIR’

For seven long years she carried the mantle of Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala, with grace and élan, so much so that she became the face of “FIR”. And now after all these years of playing the role, Kavita Kaushik, will no longer be the part of this comedy soap.

The reason behind the move of replacing her is, Kavita is also seen in the new show, “Tota Weds Maina”, on the same channel. Her role in the new show is totally in contrast with the earlier show. Managing two shows at the same time have become a bit difficult for Kavita.

Apart from Kavita, other actors like, Aamir Ali and Kiku Sharda, have also decided to quit the show, which is set to take a generation leap. Actress Chitrashi Rawat, who made her mark in, Bollywood movie, “Chak De! India”, will most probably be the new face of “FIR”. She will come in as Chandramukhi’s daughter. The production house feels that Chitrashi’s mannerisms match with that of Kavita’s character.
