Produced by Sphere Origins, the ‘Colors’ show, “Balika Vadhu” which has been long in the running will once again focus on their main concept that of child marriage in their upcoming episodes. With Anandi having moved on life with Shiv after her marriage, the show will see the entry of a new character, Ganga, to be played by Sriti Jha.
The upcoming episodes will highlight the story of Ganga, who herself has been a victim of child marriage. She will be shown as a young mother facing troubles from her in-laws over the possession of her child. They want to take back the kid from her and will be shown harassing her for the same. Ganga will put up a strong fight against her in-laws to retain her kid.
Taking her kid along with her, Ganga will be shown running away and it is here that she will meet Jagya. Here onwards the show will focus on the track of Ganga and Jagya lives.
As reported earlier Pratyusha Banerjee aka Anandi is likely to make her exit from the show and hence the decision of the production house to bring in Sriti Jha. Sriti has already shot for the promo of her character and will start shooting for her track shortly.
