Finally the time has come for ‘Zee TV’ show, “Afsar Bitiya” to bid its final goodbye to the viewers. Though the show had a social message, which laid emphasis on the girl child getting good education and equal rights as compared to that of a male child, the TRP’s remained all time low for it to continue its run.
The show was under the channel’s scanner for quite some time now. With the new show, “Biwi Hai Sab Jaanti Hai” due to hit the screen soon, the channel took an impromptu decision of axing the current show. As per the sources, 28th December 2012 is the day when the viewers will see the airing of its last episode.
However the show’s female lead and the main protagonist, Mitali Nag aka Krishna, begs to differ on the issue. According to her version, though the show is slated to go off air, there is no official confirmation about its last date. But to cut the long story short, “Afsar Bitiya” will have to make way for the new shows, lined up for telecast.
