The image about the actors, be it small screen or big screen, formed in the minds of general public is, that of, luxurious lifestyle, fame, money and the perks that come along with stardom. But contrary to it, there is one more side to all of it, that of actors being human like everybody and tending to fall prey to sickness and ailments like the others. But unlike the general people, actors do not enjoy the luxury of getting a day or two off in cases of them falling sick, as recently happened in the case of Ankita Sharma.
Working on her show, “Amrit Manthan”, Ankita suffered from severe bout of viral infection. But since the production house was unable to grant her leave even for a single day, she was forced to continue shooting for her show. in spite of having cough and cold, along with severe body ache, Ankita has no option but to complete her work by taking heavy doses of antibiotics.
The hectic shooting schedules and the unreasonable deadlines always manage to take a heavy toll on the actor’s health. The production houses on their part are at wits end as due to lack of having any back-up in form of episodes bank, they cannot afford to grant leave to the actors in such cases. In all these circumstances it is the humanity that suffers the most.
