There is lots of confusion surrounding the ‘SAB TV’ show, “FIR”, as far as its scheduling is concerned. Nothing confirmed can be said about its telecast status. Earlier it was decided that this daily soap will be aired on weekends and now comes the fresh news that it is being considered to air the show as one hour weekly, starting early next year.
Producer Benaifer Kohli (Edit II) and the channel are in discussions and the final decision will be taken in due course of time. The show had also undergone scheduling changes earlier, when it was changed from being a weekly to bi-weekly, to the current Monday-Friday one. However unlike the other comedy show, “Gutur Gu”, “FIR” has managed to have a steady run, without going in for a break.
Another factor that may be the reason, for this scheduling change, is due to non-availability factor of its female lead, Kavita Kaushik. Since the actress has committed herself to the new show, “Tota Weds Maina”, to be aired on the same channel, to manage two shows at a time maybe a bit difficult for her.
But her producer Benaifer states otherwise, according to her Kavita is required shoot only for twelve to fifteen days, leaving half the month free for her to take up other commitments.
