Like many others his world too came crashing down, when his only sister and brother-in-law were killed in the terrorist attacks that shook the entire city of Mumbai on 26/11. Now with the hanging of the sole surviving terrorist, Ajmal Kasab, most of the victim’s families may be rejoicing at the thought of justice being delivered, but not Ashish Chowdhary.
Ashish perceives things in a different manner, according to him, doing away with one terrorist, is not the end of the entire problem. For him Ajmal was not a bad person in the first place, only thing is he got the wrong teachings by the wrong people. No person is born bad, it is the circumstances surrounding the person that makes him good or bad.
Though in no way, justifying Ajmal’s actions, Ashish does not harbor any bad feelings for the terrorist. Ashish feels that the world will be a better place to live, if people stop killings in the name of religion, instead they should be taught to spread love in the name of God. And everybody understands that God is one.
