She was one of the contestants who had dreams of marrying Rahul Mahajan. Soniya Kaur participated in ‘Imagine TV’s reality show, “Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega”, which was a bride hunting show for Rahul Mahajan. However she could not reach the list of final contestants and had to bow out without any results.
However after a long gap of remaining absent from the small screen, Soniya has finally managed to bag a fiction show titled, “Anamika” to be produced by Trishul Productions, for ‘Sony Entertainment Television’. Soniya will essay the role of, Jasleen, eldest daughter-in-law of the family of male lead, Mudit Nayar. She is shown as a typical housewife, always shirking away from responsibility of work and gossiping away her time, on phone or otherwise.
However she will be shown sharing a lovely bond with her brother-in-law, Jeet, played by Mudit Nayar. Soniya’s character is a light hearted one, always being the target of the family members for shirking her responsibilities. She vents all her anger on her husband, albeit in a jovial manner. “Anamika” airs on 26th November at 8 pm slot, on ‘Sony TV’.
