She has become a household name since last four years, with the portrayal of her character, Dayaben, in ‘SAB TV’s’ popular show, “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”. Disha Vakani aka Dayaben, has carved a niche for herself, with her unique style of acting. Her way of laughter, her passion for playing garba and her distinct Gujarati dialect, each and everything has become a topic of discussion, in these last four years.
Not many people are aware of the fact that, Disha Vakani, has a strong liking, for theatre. However due to her hectic schedules working on the show, she is forced to give a miss to her theatre stint. Her feelings are that working on stage polishes the acting skills of an actor. Had she been able to continue with theatre, it would have helped in her acting spicing up a bit more.
Disha thanked the audiences for accepting her show and more so her character. It was only due to their love and support, that the show has been able to successfully complete a run of 1000 episodes. Disha is very much keen to take up more such comedy shows in future.
