The current inmate in the house of “Bigg Boss 6” show, Navjot Singh Sidhu, remembering his cricketing days, shared a very interesting anecdote related to his experience, with the master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, during a match between India and Pakistan.
Sidhu, on his first encounter with Sachin, shared a very interesting incident about the courageous character of Sachin, even at that young age. The year was 1989, and India Vs Pakistan test match was being played, with India on the verge of losing the match, with their 5 wickets having fallen for mere 24 runs.
It was that stage, Sachin walked out to bat for the very first time, with Sidhu being at the non-strikers end. Waquar Younis, in order to unnerve the first timer, bowled a huge bouncer to him. The result of the bouncer was, Sachin injuring his nose, which started bleeding profusely. Everybody present was sure that young Sachin, will want to go back, retired hurt, but one has to admire the courage and dedication of Sachin, he came back to the field after attending to his injured nose, and batted with grit and determination.
Both, Sidhu and Sachin, not only batted well, they even managed to save the match with a draw. For more interesting bits on the other participants of the “Bigg Boss 6” house, keep reading this space.
