Mumbai, Sep 16 Director David Dhawan’s son Varun says it took time for him and his “Student Of The Year” co-star Alia Bhatt to get along.
“Alia never liked me earlier because I didn’t say, ‘Hi’ to her on the first day. But that is because I was giving my look test and didn’t see her. She was angry with me in the first one week, but then it got okay,” said Varun.
Alia is filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan’s daughter.
“I did not give her any attitude because we had to work together. She feels we are very good friends, but I feel that we are okay friends. We bonded on that fact that we were young on the set and didn’t understand much,” said the youngster.
But Varun hit it off well with Siddharth Malhotra, who is also playing a lead role in the film. The two have known each other as they worked as assistant directors on “My Name is Khan”.
Directed by Karan Johar, “Student Of The Year” is a romantic comedy film releasing Oct 19.
