Successful trends are copied and followed, in one after the other shows, in the TV industry, which is always ruled by the herd mentality. Be it marriage sequences, or for that matter generation leaps, makers are never the one to be left behind.
The current trend that has caught the fancy of the serial makers is that of, consummation of marriage, between its male and female leads. Such sequences have managed to grab the eyeballs of the audiences, thereby pushing the TRP’s upwards. Creative heads are trying to incorporate such tracks in their shows.
Joining the bandwagon in their attempts to cash the trend are, Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd’s two shows, “Punar Vivah” and “Kairi Rishta Khatta Meetha”. ‘Zee TV’s’ show “Punar Vivah” will have a track showing, Yash and Aarti, going to a temple and consuming bhang. In the heat of the moment, both will come closer, thereby consummating the marriage.
In ‘Colors’ “Kairi”, Anuj will plan a romantic outing for his wife, Ambi, leading to their intimacy.
