In spite of being under tremendous pressure, with the political parties hounding her, for being a part of the musical show, involving Indian and Pakistani artists, Asha Bhosle was as cool as a cucumber while handling the questions from the media, at the recently organized press conference.
There was a lot of hullabaloo created by, Raj Thackerey’s political outfit, MNS, objecting to her participation, along with the Pakistani counterparts, judging the musical reality show, “Sur Kshetra”.
The show which is having a simultaneous telecast on ‘Colors’ and ‘Sahara One’ channels, is in the news, but for all the wrong reasons. Asha Bhosle justified her stand saying; music and art should be kept away from politics. It is not the question of two nations, but of talent and culture, which should be appreciated by everybody.
The press conference was attended by various personalities like, Gajendra Singh, Raj Nayak, Suresh Mishra and Boney Kapoor. Asha Bhosle who is a Maharashtrian, said that we people always believe in giving our guests the status of god, which translated means Atithi Devo Bhava.
Let’s see what Raj Thackerey, a staunch Maharastrian himself, has to say about the same.
