Aashutosh Tewari is known as the bad boy of small screen and has played many negative roles in several shows such as “Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein” and “Bhagowali Baantein Apni Taqdeer”.
He has been playing the role of a villain since a long time. However, this is not something that is being done by the actor by choice or consciously. He states that he has not been able to finding anything positive on Television.
TV heroes don’t get a chance of doing much. He is against the idea of being in the main lead as he feels it is just like being as a showpiece. Only villains and heroines get a chance of experimenting with their characters. He adds that he wants to play a character that is similar to Karanvir Bohra, in the show “Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava”.
He was approached for doing an episodic for “Crime Patrol Dastak” as well, but he refused it as he didn’t like the character.
