Just by looking at him, nobody will be able to tell that he is not a regular Sikh boy, with his attire and mannerisms, telling a different story. But for the viewers’ information, Samay Shah, who plays the role of Gogi Sodhi, in ‘SAB TV’s’ “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”, comes from a Gujarati family.
Samay undergoes a huge transformation, after he changes his get up, looking every inch a Punjabi munda. Once he removes his getup, he is back to his normal self, a typical Gujju boy. He is a home bird, who loves to play with his sisters and his friends. He has been working since a very small age, his first assignment being when he was just seven months old.
Samay’s previous work on television was on the shows, “Balika Vadhu” and “Gilli Gilli Gappa”. He has also worked on the big screen in quite a number of films, prominent among them being, “Karzzz” and “Action Replayy”.
Samay also manages to balance his work and studies with equal ease. He is a student of St. Joseph’s High School, and his principal, Alvira D’Souza, has been a source of encouragement for Samay.
