Mumbai, Aug 17 The success of Anurag Kashyap’s “Gangs of Wasseypur” (GOW) seems to have kickstarted the acting career of Zeishan Quadri, who made his writing and acting debut with the crime thriller.
“Life has changed post-GOW. People have started recognizing me in malls and everywhere I go. People are appreciating my work in the film,” Zeishan, who hails from Wasseypur, Dhanbad, told IANS.
“Post this film I am getting more offers as an actor than as a writer. My character of Definite in the film has changed my life,” he added.
Zeishan reveals that acting has always remained his first love and that writing has been his hobby.
“I always wanted to get into acting but it didn’t work for me at that time. But writing has always been my hobby. I first wrote ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur Part 2′ later Anurag asked me to do proper research and asked me to come up with the part one,” he said.
“But I told Anurag I want to play Definite in the film and he happily agreed. That’s how this film happened.”
