Her claim to fame was with the longest running show in the history of television, Balaji Telefilms’ “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”. The serial managed to make many an actors, overnight stars. Kamalika Guha Thakurta was one of them, who became a household name, after working on the show.
Now her fans will have all the reasons to rejoice once again, as this talented actress from Bengal has been signed by, Contiloe Telefilms, for their show “Adaalat”. The show which is in an episodic format, will have Kamalika Guha Thakurta in one of its upcoming episodes.
Her character is that of an evil and scheming mother-in-law, Saudamini. The plot is based on the rift between her and her daughter-in-law, played by a newcomer. Kamalika is getting a chance of working with Ronit Roy, one of her favourite co stars, once again. In fact the two share a very good bonding between themselves.
