Many years ago, Ramanand Sagar created history by producing and directing the greatest mythological epic “Ramayan”. The show defied all norms in terms of TRP’s. It went on to become a blockbuster of the small screen. Years later, his grandson, Amrit Sagar, is trying to recreate the same history once again, by his announcement to produce the new version of “Ramayan”. The promos have already started airing on Zee TV, building up the curiosity of the viewers.
However, the main characters of Ram and Sita are yet to be finalized. As earlier informed, Shikha Swaroop, has been signed to play the role of Kaikeyi. Latest is that two more actors have been finalized for essaying the roles of Raja Dashrath and Manthra. Rishabh Shukla, who is best known to have portrayed the role of King Shantanu in the epic “Mahabharat”, will be shown playing Raja Dashrath. Sunita Rajwar, of “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” fame, will portray the role of evil Manthra.
Rishabh Shukla has already started shooting for his part and is very much hopeful for the show doing well. He feels that Ramayan’s charm will never fade, irrespective of being made repeatedly.
