Ekta Kaul, is one courageous person, who had the guts to take a bold step as far as her career was concerned. From a secured profession, she decided to jump into a profession full of insecurities. She was a marketing professional, who one fine day decided that acting was what she wanted to do.
She had no beforehand knowledge or training in the field of acting. It was completely an alien field for her. But she had already set her mind to prove herself in this profession. She gradually learnt the process of acting with the help of her supportive members of her show. She has a word of praise for her director, Mohit Jha, who has been a great help to her, in learning the finer points of this profession.
Acting profession is not without the usual hitches, as Ekta Kaul, learnt the hard way recently. The long and hectic schedules took a toll on her health, while shooting in the hot climes of Punjab. Unable to bear the heat, she fainted on the sets. But one has to take these things in stride, as it is all a part and parcel of the profession, feels Ekta.
