Star Plus’ and Swastik Pictures’ ambitious project ‘Mahabharat’ is inching towards its launch. As per the latest reports, Shaheer Sheikh, a.k.a Navya’s Anant has been offered to play Arjun. For the role of Draupadi, Deblina Chatterjee from ‘Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein’ has been roped in.
Shaheer is in contract with Swastik Pictures and the Star Plus also wants to retain him. That’s why they have offered the role to the young actor, who has become a household name after Navya.
However, when asked about the show, Shaheer denies getting an offer for ‘Mahabharat’. He said that he had signed a contract with Swastik Pictures, but he is also getting offers from other venues and he is looking into them.
However, the reports suggest that this denial is only because actors and production houses don’t like to reveal much until everything is officially signed.
