These days, almost every daily show has at least one or the other character in the hospital. If you don’t believe us, then let’s have a look at the present story lines in some of the most popular shows on air these day.
In Sony’s ‘Bade Achche Lagte Hain’, Priya (played by Sakshi Tanwar) was recently admitted in the hospital where she found out about her pregnancy. The second in line is ‘Kya Hua Tera Vaada’, in which Taani is in the hospital after her miscarriage.
Zee TV is not far behind either. ‘Pavitra Rishta’s’ Archana had to rush to the hospital after mother was admitted there. Colors ‘Madhubala’ also had many hospital scenes recently, with the male protagonist being admitted in the hospital.
If you are thinking that it is just a co-incidence, then think again. According to Nidhi Singh, who is a screen writer reveals that most production house rent a hospital’s set for a shoot and they find it more economical to shoot most of their show’s scenes there. But it is not easy to introduce such scenes in the story.
However, Shweta Bhardwaj, screenplay writer for Colors’ ‘Parichay’ claims that the current state of hospitalizations in the shows is just a coincidence. Shweta, who works for Balaji telefilms says that all of the hospital scenes in Balaji shows were demand of the story.
No matter what’s the reason behind such scenes, but one thing is for sure; such scenes add to the ambience and drama of the story.
