Her biopic on the big screen ‘Naache Mayuri’ was her first thrust with fame. However after the runaway success of the movie, not much was offered to her in terms of good roles.
She then turned to small screen for satisfying her cravings as an actor. Ramola Sikand’s character in Balaji Telefilms ‘Kaahin Kissii Roz’ made Sudha Chandran an overnight star and a household name.
However she got stuck in that image and all the roles she was offered thereafter were only of negative types. In order to break free from the monotony, Sudha Chandra has packed her bag and baggage and shifted her base to south.
She feels that henceforth Hindi serials do not have the scope of any further growth for her as an actress. The south television industry on the other hand is offering her a variety of roles and characters.
However her connection with Bollywood still remains, with her being offered roles in films like ‘Malamaal Weekly 2’.
