Atif Aslam’s latest incident is sure to not sit well with his critics. The Pakistani crooner entered into a verbal argument with seasoned songstress, Asha Bhosle, in Dubai, during a reality program “Sur-kshetra” where Atif acts as one of the judges.
Bhosle is said to have felt so insulted by Atif’s rude comments and impolite behaviour that she was compelled to leave the show mid-shoot. It all happened when Bhosle expressed her judgment about a participant who hails from the neighbouring country.
Being the team’s captain, Atif immediately rushed to his defence. He expressed no respect for the legendary Indian vocalist and made it clear that if the contestant was not cleared to enter the next stage, he himself would leave the show.
No amount of reasoning from Bhosle could change his mind and finally, Bhosle herself walked out. Producer Boney Kapoor’s timely intervention managed to establish a truce between the two singers. The rest of the show was peaceful.
