A new track, a new Nimrit, with a new face and identity, are some of the highlights of the Director Kut’s show ‘Amrit Manthan’ being aired on Life OK channel. Ankita Sharma has been roped in play the role of new Nimrit, which was earlier enacted by Dimple Jhangiani.
Nimrit has suffered an accident, which has left her face completely disfigured. She will be undergoing a surgery for the same. She makes a comeback with a new name and identity with the help of Mr. Oberoi, played by Mohan Kapoor.
She comes back with the motive of taking revenge on her sister, Amrit. However the plot of her coming back with a new face and identity post operation will definitely remind the viewers of a yesteryears movie ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’, which had the same premise.
The movie starring Rishi Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon and Tina Munim, has Poonam meeting with a car accident which completely destroys her face. She is operated upon and after a successful plastic surgery emerges as Tina Munim.
However, it is not something new for the makers of small screen serials, to take inspiration from successful movies and adopting them for their shows, because as the saying goes, Bollywood and Television exists side by side.
