‘Crime Patrol’ adds a touch of authenticity to their reality show

The show “Crime Patrol Dastak” believes in making its stories look real and authentic as far as possible. Hence when the show decided to showcase the story about a mentally challenged man, Tukaram Karpe, the team travelled all the way to Wagah Border to shoot a sequence.

The story shows that how Tukaram, who is under treatment for his ailment at one of the Pune hospital, suddenly goes missing. He is later found to be lodged in Lahore jail after one and a half year. However after realizing the truth about the mistaken identity, Tukaram is released from the prison.

To Crime Patrol team had reached the Wagah Border the same day on which Tukaram was being brought back to India through the border. They shot the sequence which will be incorporated in the show for the viewers to get the real feel of things. However by highlighting such incidents the makers of the show feel that it may help the cause of other innocent prisoners who are languishing in Pakistan jails due to no mistake of theirs.

The host, Anoop Soni, also felt that these people are released and united by their families who are eagerly waiting for their near and dear ones.
