After the magic “Chak De India” created for our big screen and hockey, Zee Tv’s show “Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke” too has gone a step ahead to pay tribute to the game.
The show that centers on the protagonist Rachana—a small town girl with dreams in her eyes—has an episode that shows her playing hockey with a bunch of women hockey players on her college farewell day.
Though this is inspiring enough that the director has focused on the non-glamorous yet national sport, what came as a surprise was the actress Mahima Makwana’s grit.
Draped in a saree and donning the avatar of a hockey player was no easy task. The actress has confessed to have seen ‘Chak De India’ the night before her shoot—not once but twice—for inspiration.
The only other thing she said was that her saree was so well draped and pinned up that there was no risk of any embarrassing malfunction occurring.
