The historical TV drama series “Chandragupta Maurya” which went off air with the sudden closure of ‘Imagine TV’ has sparked off the news yet again. The buzz earlier was that after its sudden shut down on Imagine TV, the show will again see the day light and this time on ‘Sony TV’.
But since then there has been no confirmation from the channel. The latest we have been reported about the serial is that the Sony Entertainment Television has asked the production house of “Chandragupta Maurya” to obtain a Non-Objection Certificate from Turner group.
Sony TV authorities have clarified that without the issue of NOC certificate, nothing can be worked out. However, the co-producer of “Chandragupta Maurya” has commented that its a process and it certainly will take its own sweet time but things are into process.
Also, actor Ashish Sharma who used to play the male lead in the show had opted out of the show and his replacement will reportedly be considered only after the production house manages to obtain the NOC certificate.
Well, let’s hope for the best!
