Producer Rajan Shahi and his team felt a bolt from the blue with a sudden appearance of a newspaper report that his popular show “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” is soon to be wound up by “Star Plus”.
The report clearly mentioned that due to the changes in Star Plus strategy, they have to face the axe. The news has come as a shocking revelation because as far as the serial is concerned, it is doing well with healthy TRP’s.
The channel meanwhile has negated the news saying that there is no such plan in the pipeline. But as the saying goes, there is no smoke without fire; anything is possible at the time of cut-throat competition.
Shahi has had a bitter experience in the past where his serial “Bidaai”, in spite of running successfully was taken off air rather abruptly. Hence, even though it may be a rumor, it is bound to give the makers and his team some tense and anxious moments.
