Some channels like “SAB” and “Life OK” belong to the tier 2 category and broadcast the serials that reflect the true essence of a small town culture. This is why serials like “Lapataganj” and “FIR” are gaining huge popularity these days.
Sources of revenue have also shifted as the distributors see a good prospect in these smaller cities. This clearly reflects from the fact the most of the serials have now their locations in small cities like Indore, Bundelkhand and Gwalior.
