On “MTV Sound Trippin” this Saturday, the sounds of the ancient most cities of India are gathered by Sneha Khanwalkar. Benaras or Varanasi is the holiest and oldest city of India and in the next episode, the sounds of this city will be explored.
The main sounds of this episode will be the aartis and sounds of bells on the banks of the river Ganga. Sneha meets the Singing Boatman, Bhoomi and also Mithu, who is an expert in playing the didgeridoo.
Sneha feels very lucky as she gets a chance of meeting Ganeshji, who is the owner of the largest tabla of the world. His playing style is unique and aggressive and Sneha gets a chance of collecting a percussive sound, which she has never heard before. For the “Ram Ram” track, voices of Manna and Jawahar, the Lal Brothers, will also be heard.
