“Indian Idol”, the popular music reality show is on its sixth season, but this time with a slight change in its search for a singing superstar.
For a change, hosts Anu Malik, Salim Merchant and Sunidhi Chauhan are in the look out for a striking voice, whereas, looks and attitude would not matter like before.
This has made way for even more buzz, and according to reports, after the opening of registrations this month, the number of contestants registered has already reached a whopping 1.5 lakhs.
Salim Mechant, one of the judges, re-confirmed the fact by completely disagreeing with the popular belief, that contestant of the Indian Idol need to be good-looking and said that the judges only want voice.
On the other hand, judge Anu Malik, who has been there since the first season of this show, seconds Salim’s comment but adds that a good voice is the first priority, yet if it comes bundled with good looks as well, that would be an added advantage.
