JD Majethia’s television serial on SAB TV “Chintu Chinky Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story” has failed to garner viewers’ attention. If reports are to be believed, JD’s serial might bite the dust. The buzz happening around is that the SAB TV is gearing up for some new changes in the programming schedule, as the channel is all set to launch a new show by DJ’s Creative Unit titled “I Love India”.
The show will be starring actor Imran Khan and the serial is slated for February 20th release at 8pm time slot. What has created more confusion is that if “I Love India” will be aired at 8pm then what will happen to “Chintu Chinky”? Will the show be put off air or will it have a new time slot?
The reason that the channel officials have told about replacing 8pm time slot with this new serial is that JD’s show “Chintu Chinky” has failed to garner minimum TVR and the show had stagnated with 0.5 TVR. On hearing this, JD had decided to change the story a bit and he brought a twist in the serial wherein Chintu’s family was sent to Uganda and Chintu & Chinky were made to take care of three naughty kids. Though it brought in a little humor and the TVR increased to 1. But it is still not clear that will the channel officials give JD’s show another chance and time to establish or will “Chintu Chinky” face an axe?
We hope that the new changes that have been incorporated in the serial help it to retain on the channel while wishing JD all the best.
