the survival of a democracy for sixty-three years-going through a myriad of problems-ranging from
    wars.
    population growth,
    density,
    hartaals,
    assassinations,
    political in-fighting
    dynastic rule
    religious strife,
    terrorism,
    state interference in the press,
stifled economy in the eighties (now liberalised),
and, exporting to every corner of the globe
    rapid modernisation/urbanisation
    and finally,
    global recognition as a powerhouse!
    -is a remarkable achievement

    mubarak………………………………………………….

from a south african born Indian, and born of indian parentage (from amchee Mumbai), ………………………………………….felicitations!
