A Centenary of Indian cinema is indeed an achievement in an industry dominated by the West.
Since the new millenium, and after “globalizing” Indian films on a grand scale, such as “Kuch Kuch……..” and “Dilwale………..”, and with SRK as brand ambassador for the industry (as well as Amitabh-through the IIFA awards), advances have been made.

today, the cross-pollination is taking place on a larger scale with technicians from abroad being part of the technicals of a film—and Indian stars being sought by International film directors-example, Amitabh featuring in the upcoming remake of the Great Gatsby!
