Mamaji of ‘Lapataganj’ becomes ‘Sanyasi’

The chirpy “Mamaji” of “Lapataganj”, Anup Upadhyay surprised everyone when he donned a calm avatar. Actually, Anup is the most mischievous member in the entire team and when he decided to meditate, everyone thought otherwise.

Not only his co-stars, Abbas Khan and Rohitashv Gaur took his silence to be a medical problem, they even got him some homemade remedies! Now that’s really a touching gesture.

The reason why Anup was not talking to anyone was even more surprising. He will soon be seen playing the role of a ‘Sanyasi’ and hence he wanted to get into his new character’s skin. However, all this made Rohitashv Gaur miss all the usual fun on the sets, that too on New Year.

Anup said he too missed having fun on the sets because of his long and silent meditations but getting to know his new role was also important. Now that’s called professionalism, Anup!
